Can´t insert image into post

The “insert image” stage does not work for me. It worked until a couple of days ago, but ceased once the new editor was implemented.
I can upload an image, but once I “insert” it I just get a blank white screen.

Did you try inserting from the media library as I outlined above?Make sure your cursor is placed in the post and blinking where you want to insert the image. From the editor, click on the far right icon (looks like a spiky circle), then click on Media Library. Click on the thumbnail of the image you wish to insert, then scroll down in the window that appears, make the changes you wish (Link ULR, size), then click the “insert into post” button. Sometimes the insert into post button on the upload window does not work for me, and sometimes it does, but going through the “media library” has always worked for me.

I just created a new blog using just the stock template and the image upload went smoothly.
I have a feeling that my original blog is somehow “corrupted,” if that is possible. I did an “import” of a Blogger” blog a couple of days ago and wonder if that messed something up?
I am just “playing” with these blogs at this point, so it’s just like bubble gum for the mind.

You’re right – no problems. Not only did I not get tangled up with MS, but when I went back to Windows Live today, I couldn’t even find a link to the blogging tool. I Typed “Blog” into the help field, and got Zero topics.
So maybe I was just dreaming it. (But it bothers me that MS now knows my WP password!)
I have this issue in that before the change, I could only upload audio using FF, but after the change I could only upload anything at all with MSIE. So that meant I couldn’t upload audio at all.
But now even that doesn’t work, and I can’t post anything – no .docs, .pdf’s, .jpg’s, .mp3’s…nada.
I suppose the new dashboard should work faster without all the buttons, if they ever get it to work at all.

I also have problem upload images. Even after installing the newest flash it is no good.
The window for upload images and to put them in my post is in the lower part of the screen and I can not move it so i only see half of the window. why should everything be in flash? Why not use simple html that works! I am using XP and IE 7. And please no comments that I should change to firefox or similar… -
see if you can resize the image, check the format of the image, try uploading it on anther hosting place…

You do not need to use the new Media Uploader. It’s a bit of a workaround but you can host your images at Flickr or Photobucket or similar sites, copy the URL there, and use that in your post either with straight code or the Image icon in the visual editor. That’s what I’ve been doing.

I am also having trouble inserting images. I have tried the recommended steps. (place cursor, etc)
There are no options after I select the image from the gallery or media library. I try dragging, etc. Using an off-site host is not an option with so much already uploaded. LiveWriter is not an option. All I need is the simple, quick, insert image (prior to upgrade) option. Does it even exist now?
Basically, once an image is selected, the only option presented is to delete or save changes. The only time an option to center or place an image comes with the upload step that includes the link to an off-site image.

PS– in the pop-up after hitting the asterisk, the only options are to look at the media library, look at the gallery, or choose an image from the desktop/another site. SOmewhere there should be an option to select and insert an image from the group already uploaded.

PPS- (wish I could edit my own comment) I did a work around by copying the link in image properties of the gallery then inserted the image by hand (img) In checking the entire post before publishing, I noticed somewhere along the way the “insert image” had occurred properly at the bottom of the post. There is still no way to do this from the gallery that I could find, so is the only opportunity to insert images comes with uploading the image?

I’ve had the same problem in the past 2 days. I end up logging out and coming back 2-3 times, then I can sometimes load a picture. I’ve also had disappearing widgits and no ability to alter the presentation bar. No link to it at all.
