Can ________.wordpress.com names be deleted and reused by another user?

  Hello,

  I’m trying to change the name of my blog. The free .wordpress.com name isn’t available because it has already been used. However, when I type in the name, the site has been deleted by the original user.

  Why can’t I have it since it has deleted by the other user.

  Aloha pygmaliongirl, In general, WordPress.com domains are not available once they they have been deleted.

  Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).
