can a category page show a sticky post
-
I’m attempting to add some introductory text for category pages and thought I’d use a sticky post, but it only shows up at the top of the aggregated post page, not the category-generated ones.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. Category pages can’t show sticky posts, nor any other static content. All that page basically displays is a feed of one specific category.
I you want static content to appear on the page, the other option is to create a regular page, write your introductory text, and then use the display posts shortcode under it to display the category you want. You can add argument to the shortcode to display excerpts or only post titles, to display dates, etc. More details here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/display-posts-shortcode/

Glad I could help.
I see you also sent a message via my blog’s contact page. While I appreciate you reaching out I don’t offer support via email or via my blog, so I ask that you please ask your questions here on the forum. Besides it being a boundary issue my side, there are also many people here who know much more than I do and would likely be better able to help you.
The question you asked me is a case in point: I know next to nothing of CSS :-) If you have questions regarding CSS it’s best to post them directly in the CSS Customization forum. The people answering threads in that forum will be able to answer that particular question: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform
