can a contributor add his choice of readers to a private blog?

  we’re a writers group. some are worried about their contributions going public, so as admin, i’m making the blog private. but individ writers whom i list as contributors should also be able to add readers to whom they want to show their work. hopefully they won’t have to ask me!
