Can a post be attached to a page?

  When writing a post can it not be attached to a page? For instance I have created Pages that go along the top and now I am writing posts that I would like if they were accessible from those pages.

  The good news that there are other ways to achieve your goal.

  You can place posts under specific categories: http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/

  And then you can create custom navigation with links to specific categories, using the custom menu feature: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
