Can a self-hosted blog show up in my "My Blogs" page?

  So, I am a little confused. I have only one blog, my self-hosted blog.

  I have a wordpress.com profile, so that I could use the stats packages and the askimet spam plugin. Great, they work perfectly.

  On this forum, making this post, I am asked “Select the blog you need help with:” and my blog, zuki.org.uk, is listed.

  When I go to “My Stats”, my blog shows up.

  Yet, when I go to the “My Blogs” page, I am merely asked if I want to create a new blog. Can my blog, clearly linked such that SOME features happen, not show up here too?

  You may wonder why I care. Well, I use the wordpress reader to follow people, and I can find their blogs using the contact search etc. I want my friends to be able to find ME using the contacts search – and right now, I am unclear if they will be able to.

  The blog you specified at zuki.org.uk does not appear to be hosted at WordPress.com.

  I self-solved this problem. I created a new free wordpress.com blog, went to its dashboard, and to its “My Blogs” where I discovered 1 ‘Visible’ (the new one) and 1 ‘Hidden’ (my proper one).

  I used the option to unhide it, and now my blog shows up where it should in “My Blogs” on the main wordpress.com too.

  I assume this will also mean that if people have me in their Twitter etc and use the ‘find friends’ feature, they will find my blog?

  Can you delete the new blog that you created and just have the self hosted one to manage within your wordpress.com account?

  No, the “my blogs” isn’t visible to passers-by or google.
