Can a WP blog be transferred to a hosted domain?

  We’d like to start self-hosting our blog, rather than going through wordpress.com.

  Is there a way to export the entire blog and then upload everything onto our site?

  You can export your posts and comments as an XML file, but there’s no way to export the blogs as a whole incl. design and widgets etc., and upload somewhere else, like with FTP or so.
