can another persons blog be deleted

  Hi,
  When I went to create my blog website the name was already in use. I checked out their site but it hasn’t been active since 2010. Is there anyway that wordpress can delete it because of inactivity? Or is there a way to contact its admin for them to delete it if they no longer want to use it?

  Deleted blog names are gone forever and are never recycled so deleting is a bad idea, also there is no requirement to use a blog, blogs never expire or are deleted for non-use

  You need to contact the blog owner if you want to use the name an convince them to transfer the blog to you – WordPress.COM will not help you contact the blog owner, privacy policy
