Can anyone help a newbie please?

  Hi
  I’m new to internet marketing and am learning fast – bit it appears not fast enough!

  I installed wordpress in to the subdirectory – blog – of my main domain.
  I installed an alternate theme from the WordPress themes sites.

  Everything seemed to be going swimmingly well until I tried to follow any of the links on the site. (Not the blogroll links – but the template links)

  I have published one page but whenever I try to view it I get a 404 error.
  If I try to ‘view’ the page through the admin panel, the same thing happens.

  If I click on the one category I have set up – 404 error.
  I have made one post which sits on the home page – relief!

  I’ve tried selecting, in turn, each of the preloaded templates but the same problems occur.

  What have I done wrong? Does anyone have a clue?
