can *anyone* help me?

    I am trying to figure out how to get shoutbox working in my sidebar so that I do not have to open up a new page to use it. It appears to be designed for sidebar use anyway. How can I do this?

    Shoutbox cannot be used in WordPress.com blogs the way you’re asking, because that would require javascript which we don’t permit for security reasons.

    Also: please, in future, put the issue you’re having in the title of your thread. That way people with Shoutbox expertise can answer. The way you’ve done it here, everybody has to read your thread just to see if they can help or not, and that wastes time.

    Closest thing we have here is the meebo widget.

    Dashboard – presentation – widgets

    Just drag it into your side bar where you want it.

    If you’re using the default sidebar, that will override those settings and you’ll have to drag the other widgets you want into the sidebar as well.
