  I currently blog using captainjohncharts.wordpress.com What do I need to do to be able to add plugins such as all in 1 SEO and to get my own domain name?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  There is no FTP access to our free hosted WorPress.com blogs and we bloggers can’t install plugins for security reasons. http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/ Also note that there is no upgrade you can purchase that allows FTP access and the ability to install plugins. Only those with WordPress.org installs can use plugins http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  Thanks! So do I download wordpress.org and import from wordpress.com and then I can use plugins?

  You have to hire web host first.
  Set up a WordPress.org install.
  Install a theme and plugins.
  Export your content out of your WordPress.com blog.
  Import it into your WordPress.org install.
