Can Comments feature hold real-time discussions?

    My WordPress site uses the Kubrick theme. I have enabled the Comments function. I would like to hold real-time discussions with a class of students this semester. Will the Comments feature be able to support 10, 20, 30, etc. students posting comments simultaneously?

    Real-time commenting with that number of people posting at the same time to the same blog, from the same location, may indeed be an issue. Under these circumstances, our automated spam-protection features may kick in and block comments, or some folks may get a message to slow down.

    You may want to look into a self-hosted WordPress.org installation, where you can have more control over the rate of comment posting.
