Can create new menu – can't add – edit pages not updating correctly

Pretty new to wordpress have 3.31 I did a fresh install on my hostgator reseller account. Below is a link to the site. (its a temporary url ) old site is a regular html site. both are hosted with hostgator if it should matter, they are on different servers / different accounts.

The creation of menus works and always has , however, now I can not add pages. I am pretty sure I can remove as I am now missing one but afraid to test it anymore as I wont have any remaining working ones..
I can’t add any pages back. I can create new menus with the + tab, however, I can not actually add anything to any of the new menus. It all started when I realized my home page was not showing what I wanted and I tried to get my home page added to the menu. I tried making a page called home and add that and it didnt work right. It just added as info below my slider instead. It all went south from there.
Things I tried so far to fix it . I read somewhere that you shouldn’t name your home page “home”…, so I deleted it and made a page called welcome instead and tried to add it with view all. I also tried creating a page called blog and went under reading and choose static page and assigned welcome to the home pages and blog to the blog page but sttill no good. Sometimes around now is when i noticed when I go to hit save in the menu area the little icon just sits and spinning on and on no matter how long I let it sit there. (even had dinner and came back still spining and does not actaully ever add page or update it correctly. I tried picked the menu as primary and saving it to see if just not showing up in the admin area but , no menu shows up on the new empty menu. I have the blank default that shows all my pages even ones i dont want and the one I made back when it was working that you see now if you look at it with like 4 page links , and a few subpages under services..
I did deactivated all plugins, didnt help, I even renamed the folder to plugins.as someone mentioned trying this to reset them but still not working. I added the hotfix plugging but still no go. I changed my theme back to the origninal twenty eleven theme and it still doesn’t work. I really an not sure what else I should try.
I believe it has more do to with saving updates then the menu even though that area is defiantely more fubarred.. as I get a similar problem when I am in the widgets area and go to save changes the little spinning wheel icon comes up and just sits there , however, unlike the menu area that doesn’t update, with the widgets if I do a refresh on my website it actaully does show the saved changes.. most of the other areas the save works quick like normal.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first wordpress site and I hate to feel so discouraged so early on…
