Can emails to subscribers be excerpts?

  I only want to display a portion of posts in the email to my followers so there is an incentive to click through to the site.

  If I use the ‘more’ tag on my post, will that do it? Or will the full post still appear in the follower’s email?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  To do that, you want to go here:

  …and change the “For Each Article in a Feed” setting to “summary”.

  Where does the text for that summary come from? Is it a the first few lines of th post? The excerpt? Can it include a picture?

  The text is the first 55 words. I believe that the first image in the post should be included in the feed. But it may only be if within the first 55 words.

  Well that didn’t work. In the email it displayed the “manual excerpt” text. No picture.

  So, after some additional research, it looks like photos can not be included with the “summary” feed.

  My apologies for the confusion.
