Can entries be put onto pages?

Hello –
I was wondering if there is a way to put specific blog entries onto the sub-pages. For example, I have a post about our new pets, and I would like to put it on my “Our Kids” page, instead of on the main page. I created this blog so that my family can come and check up on news and pictures, and I want it to be as easy to navigate as possible. Most of my family members are not pros at using the ‘net. Also, I would like the only post on my main page thus far to be the “Welcome” post. So if anyone would please tell me if there is a way to do it, or a plugin that would allow it, I’d greatly appreciate it.
I was also wondering – can non-members view my blogs and pages? Are there any features that are inaccessible for non-members?

Okay, I found the answer to the Page/Entry question. But I was still wondering if non-members could access all pages of my blog?

Yes, the entire world can view your blog and its entries as long as you don’t password protect an entry.
