Can Follow Blog widget send title and url of a post, not the entire text?

  – Can Follow Blog widget send emails to followers with just the title and url of a new post — now it is sending the entire post text?
  – Is there another option (other than Follow Blog widget)?
  – I am building a simple essays sight and I am using Pages (as opposed to Posts). As a solution to the above issue, when I publish a new page, I also publish a new Post announcing the page. Better ideas?

  Hi there,

  You can indeed set your blog to only send out the title and URL and a small snippet of your post rather than the entire text.

  You can make this change by logging in to your account and going to the Settings section. Click on the Readings link and then for the setting labelled “For each article in a feed, show:” change it from Full Text to Summary. Click the save changes button at the bottom of the screen and you’ll be all set!
