Can followers receive a link back to my blog rather than the full post in email?

  followers receiving link rather than a full post

  My site visits are down b/c people sign-up to receive my post via email and rather than WordPress providing a link back to my site, they provide all content via email.

  I need people directed back to my site…I need the traffic b/c there is more to see on my site than just the most recent post.

  Can I change this feature so they get a link and not the full post?
  If no – you really should modify this an make it an option.

  Hi there!

  The email notifications are designed to alert followers of your site that there is a new post on your site. To encourage people to click the link to read the article on your site, you need to change your feed’s settings under Settings -> Reading from “Full Text” to “Summary” under the “For each article in a feed, show” option. Click “save changes” at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

  Then, your next email notification will show a summary with a link to go to your site to read the rest of the post – here’s an example:
  http://d.pr/i/rC0k
