Can Font Size and Spacing be changed on list of Blogs on the 'Blog home' page?

    I thought I could drag a .jpg picture into this window…but I don’t think that’s working – dang!

    I marked up an image with the spacing’s and font size that I’d like to change the sizes of – if there’s some way I can share that picture/image in the replies or something – let me know how I can do that. It would make explaining this a lot easier.

    When I click on ‘BLOG’ ( I refer to this as the ‘Home Blog page’* below) on our website I see a rather LARGE font used to title the blogs listed. I want to change that font size. Can you direct me to where it explains how to do this?

    I’d like to also change the spacing between each blog that shows on that ‘home’ blog page*. So I’d like to control or change the space between each title that lists the titles of each blog.

    If I can get a picture in here somehow – let me know -I have a jpg.

    Hi There,

    This can be changed with custom CSS. You would need to have the Premium Plan or Business Plan in order to use custom CSS. See this link from the support pages for more information:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-css/

    If you do have the correct upgraded plan you could change the padding and the font size. The following custom CSS worked for me:

    .main-navigation ul ul a,
    {padding: 0;
    }

    .main-navigation a, .main-navigation a:visited
    {font-size: 1rem;
    }

    To get to custom CSS you would have to go to:

    – My Site
    – Customize
    – CSS
    – Copy and pate in the above
    – Publish

    If you aren’t happy with those changes you can simply delete the content from the CSS field and go back to the original. You can also look for help here:

    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization/

    Hope that helps some.

    We do indeed have the Premium plan and I have done a little CSS work on the home page. Hemmingway ReWritten comes ‘out of the box’ with a bar that goes across the site title that was more opaque that I wanted. I learned how to manipulate that to the point that we like – a very translucent bar that backs up the site title.

    Anyway, I’ll give your CSS a try here and get back to you. Thanks for your response, time and CSS.

    Hmmm one question though – will the CSS you provided affect every tab/site page?

    I sort of want to just affect the BLOG page appearance. May just try this to see what happens I suppose.

    That CSS changed how the tabs-Home, About, …..(through to) , BLOG-it changed the spacing on those tabs or site page titles. (I’ll do a little googling)

    I’m looking for changing spacing….. once you click on BLOG- on that page you see there….. I want to change font size and spacing of the stuff that’s down in the page….. the blog titles font size, the spacing between the blog titles,etc…

    This is why I really wish I could send or show a picture of what I mean. I have one marked up to illustrate what I want to be able to change. Ah… maybe you’ll understand the above.

    Hmmm. You could try posting this over in the CSS Customization part of the forums or since you have the Premium Plan you do have the option for Live Chat Support and they may be able to help you out :)

    Good Luck!
