Can Guided Transfer help with a domain change?

  I have a domain name on another free blog/website platform, can I have guided transfer use that domain name when I go from WordPress.com to WordPress.org? Will I have to disable that site first, before the name can be redirected? To clarify I have a WordPress.com site also.

  The domain name is one I purchased from Go Daddy.

  Yes. If what you are doing is moving your WP.com blog to WordPress.org, staff can hook up your new domain and all.
