Can I achieve this in WordPress? (personal goal tracking)

  Hi all,

  I am considering using a blog to record my guitar progress. Posting audio as I progress.
  As part of my learning I have set myself a series of goals and would like to record these on my blog.
  My requirements are I display a list of goals and there current status as an icon. I would like it so that the goals are a link to a page with more detail as to the goal and the obstacles and the current progress.

  Why don’t I use a free html website? – well the blog lends itself to daily updates etc, so I would like them to go hand-in-hand.

  Sounds like a plan. I just read a blog a bit ago about a guy doing the same thing with his net worth. It keeps the gold in front of you, making it easier to achieve.

  I suggest you give it a shot, Ian. Your idea is original and I see no obstacles on the software side. It will require some manual twingling with the blog. In the way you utilize the existing functions your imagination is the limit.

  You can utilize the existing(!) blog functionality in ways no one thought of before.

  Ahhh…i forgot to say. I don’t know PHP etc. I am good at integrating existing solutions, but not coding. :s

  Do you know of any plugins which might help achieve this? (I have searched the plugins list but to no avail).

  If you’re going to do a blog with plugins of your choosing, you better head on over to http://wordpress.org/support/
  They support the self hosted WordPress software, which you can tailor to your needs.

  Ahhh….the penny is dropping :)

  Many thanks for your help DeltaFoxtrot, I will pop over there and see if I can get help.

  It may be that I should use an alternate piece of software. Anyway thanks for taking time to reply :)
