can I add a caption to my header image?

How can I add a caption to my header image? At one point I did add a caption to the image I wanted to use, but I can’t get it to show up.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s not possible unless you create an image with the lettering in it.

Whoops! Sorry, I didn’t mean to keep anybody in the dark. I’ve just kept things private while I try to get it all started. I don’t like to advertise my own stupidity!
