Can I add a flavicon to wordpress 2.6.3

  The topic title is question number 1.
  The second question is can I edit a post and then republish the same blog? I left out an image for my post so need to add it and republish, but can’t seem to find a way. Using WordPress 2.6.3 as indicated. To scared to update to 2.7.1. Oh I should mention but you have probably guessed by now that it’s not on wordpress.com site.

  Thanks, hoping for a quick reply as I need to get this photo on pronto if possible.
