Can I add a Google 1 button to my site?

Hi.
According to a recent study, Google +1s is one of the most (if not the most) important factor for ranking high on Google.
It looks like all codes for adding a +1 button to your site is in JavaScript, which WordPress.com doesn’t allow for some reason.
Is there any other way of adding it to your site? Is there something like the WhosAmungUs widget where you can contact them and get a WordPress.com-friendly version?
If there isn’t any way of adding a +1 button to your site, please consider supporting it. This study -> http://www.searchmetrics.com/en/services/ranking-factors-2013/ <- says that +1 count is the most important factor for ranking. I don’t know if it’s really the most, but it seems important/beneficial nonetheless.
