Can I add a link to my .com site on a wordpress.com blog?

I have created my own product which I am planning to sell. I want a greater control over my site in terms of affiliate products, eCommerce store and provision for adding ads in the future. I am planning to do it outside WordPress. However I want to share informative content like how to guides, etc, via a WordPress blog . Now my question is, apart from sharing my content, can I post a link to my eCommerce site outside (in the posts and/or on a separate page)? I don’t want the hassles of setting a WordPress.org site. That is can I start a blog say: abc.wordpress.com and add link to my site abc.com (either at the end of posts or on a separate page) ?

Bottom line: No you cannot create a free hosted blog and put links at the end of each post to drive traffic to a third party site without getting your blog suspended. See the Tos section 2 and 5th bullet down on yellow background.

timethief, although I am disappointed to see the answer. I appreciate the prompt reply from you.
I sincerely think a giant like WordPress should have more friendly policy towards eCommerce stores as more and more people will be asking this question. Although I know this is not the right thread to express my opinion, I am hopeful that in future WordPress will think over being more open towards eCommerce solutions.

Why? They have no reason to encourage for-profit ecommerce sites when that functionality is amply looked after with the WordPress.ORG version of the software. Wp.com is a turnkey blogging solution with no plugins, external themes, iframes, javascript, or raw flash. That basically rules out ecommerce completely. You want to teach a horse how to fetch a frisbee. Why not get a dog for that instead?

I totally agree that .com is first a blogging platform. Although there might be people using .or, as I mentioned in my first post that WordPress.org comes with a lot of work. Time is something I cannot afford. That is why I I thought that there could be an easier way.
However those were my personal opinions and WordPress might have its own views. I respect them.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate.

2. Set up a WordPress.org install and equip it with a theme and plugins.

4. Purchase a site redirect upgrade from wordpress.com
