Can I add a new category page with a static top post?

  I would like to add a topic introduction to all my categories that have their own page in the menu bar.

  Hi there,

  Category pages are automatically generated by your theme, listing all of the posts in that category. There isn’t a way to add additional text to those category pages or stick a post to the top of those pages.

  If you’d like to have static content, you’ll need to create a regular page for that. You can then add a list of posts in a specific category to that page using the Display Posts Shortcode. You can paste that shortcode into the editor on any page to show your posts there.
