Can I add a pay pal donate button on my blog?

  People have expressed an interest in donating money to me. How can I add a pay pal button on my blog page? I already have a pay pal business account set up.

  Please advise.

  It looks like you didn’t follow the guide exactly. You need to use the provided link from PayPal with the code provided in the documentation.

  The pay pal guide didn’t have the different button types with the code like your example provided. So, i couldn’t get the code.

  What I’d like to do now is find the right theme to support a site where I can also showcase my original artwork for sale. What theme would you suggest for this type of site? Then, I try for the donate/sale button.

  Also, I tried to place WWF on my site. I lost it somewhere.

  I really need a Happiness Engineer, don’t I?

  Well, there are dozens of themes available for WordPress.com. Just visit the Theme Showcase and search for the one that’s perfect for your site, using the feature filters.

  OK. Maybe I have a mental block about being able to apply a donation button. But I feel that I’ve followed the plans and still find my blog without a button. Is there a happiness engineer who will do this for me? Or will some one simply walk me through this procedure?

  Your help is required.

  Unfortunately, we can’t do this for you as it would require direct access to your PayPal account.

  At which point in the guide are you running into trouble? Have you tried the video tutorial at the bottom of the guide?

  I have seen the video but will watch it again. I have also called pay pal.

  The problem I’m having is with the link button needed to install the email generated code, I think.

  The link button is faded and doesn’t want to highlight when I click over it. This is in the visual editor mode. But. when I click to the html mode a link (word) appears in blue. So, I’ve tried to install the email code to that one as well. Still a dead button.

  I will try again tomorrow.

  Following from step 11 in the guide at http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/ you’ll need to click the image first, then the link button will be clickable.

  Yeah! Success at last!

  My mistake the entire time was that I did not click on the image of the button first to link the code to that.
