  Monetize Your Site

  WordPress uses WordAds as its official advertising program and you would need to have a custom or mapped domain.

  Jesan – just to clarify a little further, if you’re looking to run AdSense or other third-party ads on WordPress.com – beyond our WordAds program – you’d need the Business plan, which allows you to upload third-party plugins. You can learn more about the differences between plans here:

  p.s. generally all themes support advertising, they just might display them in different areas.
