Can I add an Opt-in form in the blog for my newsletter?
-
I am new to blogging. I do have a newsletter that I have been sending out via aweber. I tried to use the html code (not the javascript) to add an opt-in form to the blog so that people who enjoy the blog can opt-in for the newsletter if they wish. For some reason it isnt working though. The Name and Email fields come up but not the Boxes or the submit button.
So, 2 questions:
1. Does wordpress allow this type of form in the blogs?
2. If so, what am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Kevin Hutto

WordPress will allow most of the things which are purely HTML based. Can you copy and paste the code which you are trying to use? Maybe if we see it we’ll be able to figure things out. Also, please mention the url of your WordPress.com blog.

Yes is the answer to your question, if and only if, you have a self hosted wordpress.org blog.
No is the answer if you are referring to a wordpress.com free hosted blog.
If you have a self-hosted wordpress. org blog then this is the wrong forum for you. If that is the case, the correct forum to post to is http://wordpress.org/support/

We do not have plugins on wordpress.com blogs and forms, iframes, etc. are stripped out by wp.com programming for security reasons.
