can i add my entire website
-
I heard recently that I could host my entire website ( http://www.gatewaytherapy.ca ) on wordpress itself (by paying wordpress hosting i imagine). What I imagined was literally mirroring my sites content (text and *some* graphics) ‘here’. Of course I wouldn’t want my layout or anything – I would be using a template.
Is that possible?

WordPress.com is a free hosted blog service You do not have FTP access and cannot upload any themes or plugins into a wordpress.com blog. Themes are limited to those you find here > Appearance > Themes. Underlying templates cannot be edited and functionality cannot be altered. You can change appearance of a theme only via a paid annually renewable CSS editing upgrade. You cannot use certain codes and the types of blogs allowed are limited. Also no advertising is allowed on free hosted blogs, unless your blog is accepted into the AdControl program. At wordpress.com you do not have to download software, pay for hosting or manage a web server.
WordPress.org is free software for self hosting. You can install themes and plugins, run ads, and edit the database. More information here > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Yes you could host the entire site here at WordPress.com. I note that the blog i s already here (and uses the Simpla theme, as I do for my main blog).
I believe that a business blog such as yours is allowed at WordPress.com. That’s based on my reading of this page:
http://en.wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/
But it’s always worth checking with official support.
WordPress.com provides free hosting. It would still be free if you moved your website here. You would do so by moving the “non-blog” content from your current site into pages of your WordPress.com site. I recommend the domain mapping upgrade, for which there is a charge, to have the domain you own point here.
There are other WordPress hosts besides WordPress.com. I mention this because you might want to do things that don’t work here, such as carrying ads, or using Flash. -
I should note that I agree with TT’s response (as usual with her postings). There is no contradiction between her response and mine. We just emphasize different things.

@Andrew & gatewaytherapy
There’s something I failed to address in the OP.What I imagined was literally mirroring my sites content (text and *some* graphics) ‘here’.
If the intention is to create two sites with duplicated content then I would advise against doing so as Google duplicate content penalties can be an issue. Search engines aim to provide the most relevant search results and duplicate content pollutes and dilutes the relevancy of SERPS (search engine page results).
