Can I add plug ins to my WordPress and how can I do this?

    Hello,
    I tried to add the Jetpack and the Google Analytics Plug- In to my blog, but I was not able, because the side section to install a plug in is not there, what can I do, do I have to update my WordPress?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    While plugins are common on self hosted WordPress sites, due to security concerns, they are not available on WordPress.com. There is more info regarding WordPress.com and plugins here:
