Can I add pop-ups to the Premium Plan
-
When people go on my website, I want a ‘Subscribe Now’ pop-up box that will appear so I can get subscribers more easily. If I purchase the Premium Plan, will I be able to add this feature in?
-
I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN ANSWER TO MY QUESTION! HOW IS THIS FORUM HELPFUL?! THERE’S NO OTHER WAY TO CONTACT TECH SUPPORT?

you can’t do popup’s – that requires code that is not allowed
you can drag and drop a subscribe Widget to your sidebar if you want
Also be aware that you can’t sell your own ads on your site

Upgrading to business will still not allow popup code nor will it allow you to sell ads
To do popups you would need to hire your own host and move off WordPress.COM and install the WordPress.ORG software

Setting up subscriptions on blogs hosted by wordpress.com does not require an upgrade of any kind. Here at wordpress.COM subscribers control their own subscriptions. They also control how frequently they receive posts from sites they subscribe to. We cannot subscribe for them.
See here for installing the follow blog widget https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/
You can also use the Blog Subscription Shortcode https://en.support.wordpress.com/blog-subscription-shortcode/
You cannot use the MailChimp embed code or the Aweber embed code and cannot create a pop-up on a wordpress.COM hosted blog. You can create a sign up page on MailChimp or on Aweber only and link to it.
If you want to use MailChimp with your WordPress.com site here’s the info from MailChimp Support http://kb.mailchimp.com/article/how-to-add-a-mailchimp-signup-form-to-your-wordpress-blog

WordPress.com blogs cannot be equipped for eCommerce transactions unless they have the $299. per year annually renewable Business upgrade. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/ecommerce-is-now-available-on-wordpresscom?replies=1
See here for ecommerce details http://en.support.wordpress.com/ecommerce/Aside from the plugins for Ecommerce blogs with the Business upgrade only, there is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on any free hosted WordPress.COM blogs, we cannot install custom or third party themes, and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.

No blogger initiated advertising is allowed on WordPress.COM hosted blogs. The only advertising program at WordPress.com is called WordAds and it’s for blogs on their own domains.

http://en.wordpress.com/apply-for-wordads/Advertising outside of WordAds at WordPress.com is not allowed.

http://en.wordpress.com/tos/1. WordPress.com allows bloggers to insert text affiliate links within post and page content to most third-party affiliate programs, provided they are not the primary content of the site in question.
2. Image affiliate links in posts and pages and any banners, affiliate links in sidebar or footer widget areas, are still considered to be advertising and are not allowed on WordPress.com blogs.
NOTE: A self-hosted WordPress site might be right for you. WordPress.org offers free software that you can install on a web server. You can upload and install themes and plugins, run ads, conduct ecommerce and edit the database. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_PageThis guide will explain how to move your WordPress.com site to another hosting platform: Moving to a Self-Hosted WordPress Site https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/
