Can i add script to access database

  I want to add a feature that allows my users to select another user from a given list or elect himself for a job. this will require use of databases so can i do something for this?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It is not possible to add scripts or edit or access the database on WordPress.com hosted sites.

  It may be possible to accomplish what you are looking for if you use a self-hosted (or WordPress.org) site.
