Can I add the option of subscribing to my RSS feed?

  I’ve moved to a new theme (ChaoticSoul) but the option for someone to subscribe to the RSS feed for my blog (http://keithmansfield.co.uk) seems to have disappeared. And looking through the widget list there’s nothing there (although I can insert a feed from someone else’s blog!).

  Is there a way of resolving this without changing themes again? perhaps someone has some hypertext I an put into a widget to offer readers that lovely orange button?

  Thanks for any help. I’m new to all this and have searched hard, but couldn’t find anything which makes me think I’m missing something obvious (apologies).

  You can use the RSS widget to put your own feed in the sidebar, and that’s what I do. Or you can follow the instructions here:
  http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/23/put-your-feed-in-your-sidebar/

  Or you can switch to a theme that automatically has it in the sidebar.

  Raincoaster – thank you so much for your help. I have at least managed to get the right text up there (I went with the FAQ approach). Bizarrely I can’t get an image and when I type a link in, the next time I look it’s disappeared! But I will find a way!

  I found it – the html in the FAQ is wrong, but I couldn’t see how to report an error so maybe someone can pick it up from here?

  Currently it reads:

  Type the following:
  <img src=”image-location” />

  The closing image tag isn’t there properly. I think it should read:
  Type the following:
  <img src=”image-location” ></img>Add your text here

  I’ll try that again with backticks – I really hope this shows the html or I shall give up talking to myself and leave the forum with a smidgeon of dignity still intact.
