Can I apply a full page layout option within the TwentyEleven theme?
-
I have searched themes for full page layout option. There are two available with that description. The Twenty Eleven theme seems to be the most suited, however, I’m having trouble finding the option within the theme to activate a full page layout.
Thank you,

With TwentyEleven enabled, you can set Appearance → Theme Options → Default Layout = One-column, no sidebar.
It’s also possible to select different page templates in Twenty Eleven. If you don’t want the Sidebar to display, make sure the template option is not set to “Sidebar Template” for the page in question.

I assume by x you mean width and by y you mean height. The CSS you mentioned above works to set the html element using id=”page” to a width of 1024px. You could set min-height and max-height in a similar way What element are you trying to set the height for?

Yes, that would be x for width and y for height.I guess I’m trying to find out my parameters within the given CSS. The page is currently scrolling up and down, which is something I’m trying to avoid for my home page. I assume that I could get around it by minimizing the gap between menu bar and page title?!?!
How do I change header dimensions? It seems to affect the picture quality since the image is still at 1000×288 but the page is at 1024.
Cheers…;)

Well, the height that a given user sees can vary a lot depending on if they’re using something like a large monitor versus a laptop versus something even smaller like a netbook. The w3schools.com site has a nice stat about screen resolution trends. So, you’d want to pick a height based on that–and you do have to take the header spacing into account.
In Twenty Eleven, to get rid of the gap between the top navigation and the page title, I would do something like this:
.singular.page .hentry { padding: 0; } -
