Can I archive posts and pages together?

  I have started photographing 2012 horse races and would like to archive my posts AND pages from 2011. I’m not sure how to do this and I still need the pics from 2011 to be accessible to people. I might not need to archive them but I’m not sure how I can start a ‘Hippodrome 2012’ list similar to the ‘Hippodromes’ one aready on my sight. Any advice would be great. Shaz.

  Hi, me again. I was thinking that if my only option was to add category pages to the menu bar I have along the top, I can try that. However, I am struggling to understand the guidance:

  “All posts will appear on your main posts page, but you can also create category pages that only display posts that you’ve designated with a specific category.
  Simply check the box of the categories for which you want to create a page, and click Add to Menu”

  Do I create a Hippodromes 2012 page first?
  Do I then name the different courses as categories?

  I would like to have the Hippodromes 2012 as the main heading where I will then have a number of different courses named, followed by the dates of each course at that racecourse. Hoping that someone can understand this.
