Can I authenticate email using dkim txt records for my domain?
-
I’m going through the setup steps for my google app account, and would like to be able to authenticate emails. Google says I can do that by entered dkim txt records that are generated in my setup process. But when I enter:
TXT google_domainkey [insert Google’s generated txt record here]
I get an error message saying that the txt record is limited to 192 characters and mine is too long.
Is this a step that I don’t need to do with wordpress.com? (I’ve run into a couple of other things that I couldn’t figure out how to do, and then found out that wordpress doesn’t do it–like meta tags).
Thanks
Stephanie

You can setup and authenticate your email through Google Apps following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/google-apps-email/

Thanks, I’ve already followed that support article, and my site is verified with Google. I thought this dkim thing was an additional layer of email security (as per Google’s setup instructions), separate from the google verification that I already performed…?

It’s not something that we directly support, but it’s worth a try. It won’t harm anything.
