can I back date archives?

I am just starting a blog to keep my extended family up to date on all our doings (mainly my mom/grandmother of my children). It is also going to serve as a family journal and there is a lot of stuff from the last year I want to add.

I would like to add pictures and text from the last several months and have them listed in the archives by the proper months BUT since I didn’t actually add them during those actual months I would like to make it appear as if i did. In other words, I have one archive page now labled “February”. I would like to add info from all the months going back at least a year. (Back-date it, essentially)

There is nothing on my blog but tests yet but here is the URL http://cookiebreak.wordpress.com/

    Any help would be appreciated!

If you import them using a recognized importation mode (see FAQ) then they will automatically come up at the right dates. Otherwise, you’ll just have to change each entry’s date as you make those posts.

But how?? I feel like I’ve looked everywhere for a way to do this. Maybe it’s right there, but I can’t find it.

In the dark box to the right of the editing area – where the Save / Publish button is – click ‘edit’ next to the date.
