Can I backdate a post?

  I have a number of articles over the last few years which were posted onto (gather.com). When the site suddenly changed how it operated all those posts were unilaterally removed. Can I repost the articles to wordpress.com but establish the dates as they were originally?

  yes – just change the date in the same area the Publish button is in – best to change before publishing since changing the date changes the address of a Post – I have done it several times on one of my sites
