  Can i be notified by email when someone registered in my website?

  I have a website with wordpress, which was made by someone. I asked him, can i get a notification when someone register and needs my approval and he said “no”. So i want to make sure is that true?
  OR can i do something in my website and i can be notified by email that someone wants to register as this will safe me time.
