can I be refunded for an upgrade purchase?
-
Hello,
I recently purchased the Custom CSS upgrade thinking it would give me access to editing the .php files of the themes, but I learned that it wasn’t for this after purchase.
I was wondering if I could get this upgrade refunded and if you could explain to me how I can go about getting the Editor option usually found in Appearance?
Thank you very much and I’m very sorry for the confusion,
Valerie

Hi there,
That’s a feature of self-hosted blogs running the free software available at WordPress.org
Learn more about the differences between WordPress.com blogs and self-hosted WordPress blogs here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/We have a list of recommended hosts here:
http://get.wp.com/hosting/I’ve went ahead and refunded your custom design upgrade. It might take up to a week for the refund to be reflected on your account.
You can point your domain to a different hosting provider by updating the name servers:

Hello again,
thank you very much for the refund and thank you for the information.
I’m looking into the hosting sites that you provided and I had another quick question- do I have to keep using one of those severs all the time or can I use one of those severs to create my site (pay only one month) and then go back to the wordpress.com server? Example: I pay one month on their server, make my changes and create my site the way I like, stop paying for their server and all of my changes will stay the same or will they disappear as soon as I stop paying for their server?
I’m sorry if the question is not clear- I’m not sure how to word my question properly…
This has been very helpful so far! Thank you sooo much!

You’ll need to stay on the hosting providers with a WordPress.org installation to update you theme files in that manner.

Thank you :)
When I change the nameserver does it matter which slot I put the new name server into?
There is already NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and NS2.WORDPRESS.COM and I have my new one- do I put it into third slot or do I replace one of these?
I replaced the NS1.WORDPRESS.COM last night and moved the other two down… it hasn’t made any difference yet, I know they say it could take up to 48 hours, but if I didn’t do it properly if will be longer then that in the end…
Thank you again for all this help

So what I did was replace your nameserver with the new one but I kept your name servers just by moving them down because it requires 2 and I only have 1 new nameserver…
Ever since I did this I can’t view my site either… it says:
Index of /
cgi-bin/
Apache mod_qos/9.69 mod_fcgid/2.3.6 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_bwlimited/1.4 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 Server at toilettagefeebeaute.com Port 80 -
No, our nameservers can’t be in there at all. It needs to be just your hosting provider’s nameservers.
