Can I be reimbursed for purchasing a domain name
-
Based upon the instructions under the area “use your own domain name” I clicked the godaddy.com link (on wordpress.com) and bought a domain name. When I came back to set up my page I see it’s included in the price of the bundle that I am now purchasing. Can I be reimbursed for the cost I paid godadd.com?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
The bundle actually includes mapping which is $13, which is necessary for the domain to map to your blog. This is included gratis in the bundle, but is something that otherwise you’d have to pay for, and so in this scenario, we don’t reimburse if a user has bought a domain with another provider and maps their existing domain with us.
I’m very sorry for the inconvenience!

Hello, thank you for the response. But, I’m not sure if you understood. Based upon the wrodpress instructions I purchased the domain name. It did not tell me if you want a bundle (which I did) to click on bundle and then get your domain. It told me to go to a site like godaddy.com (with a hyperlink) to get your domain name. After I did that I went back into the site and it talked about the bumdle. The system should have instructed me to do the bundle first and the option to get a domain name will be included

Where did you see these instructions? On your Dashboard, you should be able to enter in any domain and purchase it directly through Automattic instead of having to navigate to GoDaddy.com.
Thanks for the clarification!
