Can I Block a Specific IP country addresses? (stalking)

  Hi!

  This is weird but I have been stalked for years -but succesfully escaped for a couple of years- but finally today I realized my stalker found my blog a couple of months ago…and started stalking me again. In my country there’s no law which can protect me :'(

  Because my blog is intended for certain country -and my stalker is from another country-, is it possible to block IP from a specific country?

  Please, really, I need help. I don’t want to delete YET another account and a lost lots of hard work.

  mexrbd, you can block comments posted from a given IP address.

  Trying to block a specific person (or location) from reading your blog is like trying to block a specific person from reading the newspaper. It just won’t work.

  If you want to keep your blog private, please use the privacy settings:

  hello!

  Thanks, teck07, tellyworth, for the tips, but I am talking about serious stalking (not only in cyberspace but in real life). If a block a specific country IP I can mislead him into thinking blog dissapeard or it was deleted by WordPress.

  Problem here is not blog comments (as a matter of fact he hasn’t left any) but information I already gave while blogging in the past 2 months. I will have to do a full overhaul in my blog and this will have a major impact on how I am gonna run it from now on.

  Damn it! :P

  mexrbd, if someone is actively trying to find you, blocking their IP won’t help. Your blog will still show up in search engines, the WordPress.com tag lists, on other blogs who link to yours, and in any number of other ways.

  Especially if your safety is at stake, please use the Privacy options to limit access to your blog.

  Yes, you are right. But my blog has been out of reach from the search engines. I configured that way when I created the blog.

  Anyway, I’m gonna password protect every page (because can’t find a way to do this but for the entire site).
