Can I block someone from commenting on my blog?

  I have a “reader” who comments on the blog often (sometimes a dozen times a day) and many times not on the topic of the posting, and many times insulting other commenter. Some days i spent a lot of time “trashing” most of his comments. Can I block him?

  You can. The options for blocking commenters are under your discussion settings. Here’s a direct link:

  https://wordpress.com/settings/discussion/newny23rd.wordpress.com

  Just scroll to the blacklist box at the bottom and add the username of the problem commenter.
