Can I block someone from viewing my blog?

  Is there any way to block a person from viewing my blog without putting a password on the whole thing? Would I need to know their IP address?

  No. You can block them from commenting (although IP bans will ban a lot of other people as well), but you can’t block them from viewing the blog without taking it private.
