Can I build a e-commerce website with WordPress?

  Can I build a e-commerce website with WordPress? If so, what are my limitations and what plan do I need?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there!

  There isn’t a true e-commerce solution here at WordPress.com. You can, however get a PayPal button. If you get a PayPal button, you’ll be able to sell individual items on your site and send your customers to a PayPal payment screen.
  Another option is to self- host with a WordPress.org install. If you self- host, you will be able to have more of a traditional online store. There are some other differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org that can be read about here:

  Plugins are tools used to extend the functionality of the WordPress platform. However, they are only applicable to self-hosted blogs and web sites using the WordPress.org software. Plugins are not permitted here at WordPress.com for various security reasons. See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
