Can I buy new domain and use the domain using free plan?

  I am using free plan. If I buy new domain, can I use the domain? If no, should I upgrade the plan before I can use the domain?

  If you upgrade to a paid plan you’ll be able to get a custom domain included free for the first year. If you buy a domain elsewhere to use with your site here you’ll still need a paid plan.
