Can I change back the blog names I changed recently?

  Hi Friendly Folks,

  I recently created a new blog by changed the name of an existing blog (teaspoonsofchangejapan) and updated the old blog (teaspoonsof change).

  However I much prefer the old blog format and content which is now stuck with the name teaspoonsofchangejapan and want to change that blog name back to teaspoonsofchange

  Is this possible?

  The content on the current teaspoonsofchange page is not important and all I want to do is correct mistakes and change the blog name of teaspoonsofchangejapan back to teaspoonsofchange with all the existing content.

  I would be VERY happy if this is possible.

  You will be able to preserve the blog address http://teaspoonsofchange.wordpress.com/, and fill it with the content you want, but not by changing http://teaspoonsofchangejapan.wordpress.com/ back to its original name. The reason this can’t be done is that it would require using the same URL twice.

  So, the thing to do is keep both of them for the present while you import the content that you want to keep to the website with the URL that you want to keep.

  Some support pages you’ll likely find helpful:
  * Empty Site — http://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/ (for getting teaspoonsofchangejapan.wordpress.com ready to receive the content of the other)

  * Export — http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

  * Import — http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/

  You can also save the content of the present teaspoonsofchange.wordpress.com by exporting it and saving the XML file. This file can be either simply stored away, imported to a third URL (new website perhaps), or imported to teaspoonsofchangejapan.wordpress.com, after you have successfully duplicated its content in teaspoonsofchange.wordpress.com.
