Can I change background color in Gallery?

  Is it possible to change the ghastly black background colour in galleries when the slides are shown large size?

  Black may the perfect for some images, but it doesn’t suit my needs.

  Also is it possible to tag or somehow catergorise images?

  At the moment the only color choice for the Carousel background is black.

  Images themselves cannot be directly categorized, but assuming that the images appear in a post, the post can be categorized.
