Hi Rosemary, there isn’t a way to have two themes installed at the same time with WordPress. You might want to set up a test site with your new theme first, get everything fine-tuned as you like, and then transfer over the theme and your settings to the live site when you’re ready.

Just to add – you could also use a plugin like Theme Test Drive to display one theme to visitors while you work on redesigning your site with the new one.

Great idea, Gary! I forgot about that plugin. ;-) Looks like it hasn’t been updated in a while, but might work just fine, worth testing!
