can I change “medium” image default size?

  is there a way to change the default dimension of the medium image size (similar to how you can change the thubmanil). I ask because i am using the iphone wordpress app which automatically inserts images at the medium size, and I’d like to have them publish larger.

  There is no way to change the default size and the exact size is dependent on the theme post/page area width.

  if you post an image as exact size, it follows the size of the post area, and not the size of the image itself (thus blowing out the design)?

  It can mess it up, but you choose the percentage in the editor.
